So, in today's thoroughly unsurprising news flashes: I spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about theater. The theater I've seen, the theater I've made/want to make, Theater as art, Theater as business, Theater as ritual/religion, Theater as abstract concept, Theater as victim of/participant in American capitalism, Theater as absurd life-choice... Yeah, you get the picture. And sometimes I write about it too.

Lately, I've been wanting to write about it more. And to write more in general. And to share that writing.

Recently, I wrote this:

The response has been more encouraging that I could have imagined. This feels like the beginning of something. I hope and plan to engage in the public discourse around theater/art-making more frequently in the future. I don't know exactly what form that will take, but I know I'll be writing more, and if you're interested in reading, just check this space every now and again...
