once more unto the BEACH
I am honored and thrilled to announce that I have been selected as one of the two Classical Directing Fellows by the Drama League for 2016. In less than a month, I take off for San Diego to spend the summer at the Old Globe, where I'll be doing Shakespeare in the sand and sun all summer. My projects include assistant directing Macbeth with Brian Kulick and Love's Labour's Lost with Kathleen Marshall, as well as a yet-to-be-decided (by yours truly) classical workshop production with the Old Globe's wonderful MFA actors.
This great opportunity also means that the HENRY V project is being slightly postponed. But while you won't be seeing us in the Brick Festival this August, you WILL be seeing us in Brooklyn in the Fall. Don't despair (and keep checking back!) -- ferocious women tearing apart this fierce and frustrating play are still comin'atcha in the near future.
Wishing bright spring days to all!
Thine, in all compliments of devoted and heart-burning heat of duty,
