MIDSUMMER
A new and re-envisioned version of the original adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (and other plays...) that I staged at the Yale Summer Cabaret in 2015; also the first production by Tiltyard. A year after the original production, it felt right and necessary to re-examine the world of the play, to go deeper into its shadows... Make it grittier, not less magical but maybe less whimsical, more reflective of a familiarly chaotic, degraded universe. It was the right direction to head in, and I still can't wait to do this show again...
